Start of manufacture of custom handling systems with intelligent gripper technology with the acquisition of Modern Technik (MT), and founding of a subsidiary MT Handling and Robot Systems. In 2009, this was integrated into today's MT Handling business area.

Klaus Kiefer takes over as sole managing director of the LISSMAC Group.

LISSMAC sets benchmarks in innovative sheet metal treatment with the development of a patented machine series of steel brushing, grinding and deburring machines. The highly effective processing of both inside and outside contours in a single step is unique to the market.

Merger
The LISSMAC Group, consisting of the three companies LISSMAC Maschinenbau und Diamantwerkzeuge GmbH, MT Handhabungs- und Robotersysteme GmbH and LMW Maschinenbau GmbH, is combined into a single company, "LISSMAC Machinenbau GmbH". In future, there will be four strategic business areas under the central LISSMAC brand.
New corporate image – LISSMAC is established as the enterprise brand.
LISSMAC develops a modern appearance: Open to the future, international and innovative, the company presents itself in the new corporate design in all media, from brochures and trade fairs to the Internet. The new LISSMAC word trademark and the motto "We are moved by ideas" underscore the company's innovative philosophy.
